Figure Out Who You Are
John 1:12 But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God
Who is your Father? Do you know how He views you? Do you truly own what He says about you, you who have placed total faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ for your salvation?
He says that you are a child of God, a blessed daughter of the King, beloved in His sight, a co-heir with Christ Jesus, eternally His.
Phew! I don’t know about you, but I like the sound of that more and more as the pressures of life and my surrounding culture try to tell me how I should qualify myself.
We should not measure ourselves by businesses, our clothing sizes, our height, our weight, our strengths, our smarts, our spouses or lack of them, our abilities, our job titles, our friends, our possessions, our children or lack of them, or our popularity.
All we really need to remember is that we are the King’s kids.
Rest in that. Embrace and enjoy it!
