God Has Called You Into Business For A Reason

Influence is our theme for this year’s conference but what does influence actually mean and how do we live that out in our businesses without feeling yucky about it and not pushing bibles into people faces.

In this podcast, we’re going to take a further look into this and how you, being a daughter of the King most High can be that amazing influence without you even realising it.

So under Influence for our conference, we have four words…

FREEDOM, ESTEEM, EMINENCE, LEADERSHIP

Four simple words played out in our lives will show people we have something special inside us that they just can’t place their finger on.

I know when I was saved ten years ago, it wasn’t so much the words that the people I had met spoke that caught my eye, it was that they had this peace about them and the way they conducted themselves.

They also had something that I didn’t have, that I knew I wanted!

First, let’s look at what each means and then how they can play out in your line of fire…

FREEDOM – the state of not being imprisoned or enslaved.
ESTEEM – respect and admire
EMINENCE – an important or distinguished person (nobility)
LEADER – the person who leads or commands a group, organization, or country

You might be thinking, SJ these words have nothing to do with me, I just own and run my business. But I have to say, these words have everything to do with YOU! God has placed you in business for a reason, He’s given you an influential role that shouldn’t be taken lightly.

That includes website developers, graphic designers, quilters, serviced based businesses, marketing agencies, speech pathologists, mortgage brokers, whatever your business does not matter how big or how small.

It’s about the way you conduct yourselves in this role that will catch peoples eyes. It’s the stories of miracles in your businesses that you can share with people to inspire and the sense of peace the Holy Spirit brings by Him living inside you that people will want.

By living in Christ you live in His FREEDOM! That’s a freedom like no other. You have all of heaven at your fingertips to go get your dreams, whatever they are to you. You have the FREEDOM in God’s grace to play out your business in, knowing that God has you, and your faith will grow the more you trust in God and step out of the boundaries.

Do you live out your day to day life in a way that people respect and admire you? ESTEEM – I don’t mean keeping up with the Jones’ when I mention admire, but, are you kind but firm, are you professional with a smiling face. Do you treat people with respect, are you honest and upfront. Do you pull through with your promises and serving your people the best you can with boundaries in place?

By being a daughter of God you automatically step into a place of EMINENCE. You’re royalty! You belong to the most royal family you could ever be a part of. Being on this side of the fence brings you great favour.

Do you conduct your business and life and live it and live out in this favour?

I don’t mean in the demanding the penthouse when you go to places. God looks after the upgrades for us. I have so many stories of the Godly upgrades that have happened when I have stepped out in faith.

I mean in a way that you live out with the authority that we have being an heir of Jesus. Praying before big decisions, discerning what the Holy Spirit is saying inside our guts, listening to what’s happening out in the world and praying for God’s glory.

You are a noble person, you can afford to take whose faith risks, and sharing the amazing things that has happened because of that.

Which leads me onto the final point of do you walk in the LEADERSHIP role that God has given you?

I have been under many leaders, some great ones, some not so great ones.

What has been the difference of the GREAT ones and are you stepping into the God-confidence state and conducting your leadership from a place of greatness.

Again, I don’t mean that in an egoistic way.

For those who don’t see themselves as leader let me define what I see a leader as, “Someone who is on a bigger mission than themselves.”.

This doesn’t mean you have to work in the corporate world in management, nor that you have to be a CEO, both are leadership roles.

You can be in politics or starting a NGO. It doesn’t matter.

What matters is your mission, and is it bigger than you? Is it bigger then just bringing in a wage each week? Is it bigger than looking after your needs in this world?

Do you have a vision for something? Has God put something on your heart to change to make a difference? Is it, that you want to have positive, prayerful influence in your local community?

Not everyone will have this wish in them. That’s totally ok too.

But, if you do have it in you, lady, step out in confidence, ask God to give you that confidence and go bring that dream to life and be that person of INFLUENCE for the Kingdom.

That’s why we’re launching Christian Women in Leadership, we know there are leaders out there that need that community of women who have their back while they’re out there in the world pushing forward.

I am one myself, I feel like and I know that I am here on a bigger mission than just bringing a wage.

I am hungry for God’s heart and being the vessel for Him to use to lift up other leaders out there.

I am the one to not just bring you hope but giving you leadership and leadership without losing my feminity. Never trying to be a man, but bring liberty and being an example to encourage others to push forwards in faith even though the sacrifice is large.

Leadership can change nations!

Are you ready to be that change?

What will CWIL look like once we launch?

God gave us three words. Restore, Connect and Realign.

Restore…

We want to restore leaders through leader retreat days which will happen once every six months and will be part of the CWIL Program we have available. Accommodation will not be included but the day itself will be.

This will be a safe place for us to take off our masks, the walls, to be vulnerable to God. We will also create a space to have amazing conversations with others for you to share notes and ask the hard questions, to share struggles and know there is no judgement, but listening ears.

Connect…

You’ll have a place for them to connect with other leaders on and offline. We have created an online forum space so no Facebook. Where you can come and ask your questions and connect with others. We will have online sessions throughout the month for the first six months to see how they go.

Realign…

You will also be taken through a series when you first join that you can complete at home in your own time. This will help you to realign yourself with God and understand how to have the all-important God time in this demanding world of leadership.

Complimented with the sessions we do on the retreat days will keep bringing back to God. Space for you to just be.

Founder Sarah-Jane Meeson was given a word to inspire women. Since then, Sarah-Jane dreamed about how she could inspire women and unite them together. She knew it was going to be for God and she knew she had a passion for business and just to see people thrive and be all that they can be: no matter what past they’ve had, no matter how much money or where they come from. It’s about them being the best person they can be for God and to help share their story of how God has worked through their life and business.

After chatting with a girlfriend and sitting on the idea for a while, God kept prompting her heart to bring this movement of women together. After some time, Sarah-Jane knew what she needed to do; she bit the bullet and now here it is. Christian Women in Business – a movement of Christian women pushing forward for God in their businesses … and it’s great!
