Learning to Rely on God as Your Provider in Business
Welcome to the Christian Women in Business Podcast Show today. SJ would like to talk to you about focusing on the numbers over focusing on God.
This is a very interesting topic. It’s very controversial. But maybe you can relate to this. Maybe you’ve got to do this yourself. I guess a good name for it would be calling it a kingdom budget. And a kingdom budget is different to a worldly budget in the way that it is coming to a point where you just fix your eyes on God and not on your numbers and knowing that God has your numbers.
And so we look at the relationship between Jesus and Judas. Now I’m not saying that we’re Judases and that we’re betraying God but just stay with me as I kind of share the thought of today. And so we’ve got this beautiful Jesus who just has the most wonderful heart. He was there at the beginning of creation with God and he’s there at the end and all in between right.
And so Jesus knows what’s going on. He knows who’s gonna betray him. He knows exactly what people are thinking without them even knowing that.
Sometimes we can become so fixated on our numbers that we take our eyes off of God and in doing that we immediately take ourselves out of that grace that God is our provider not money, that God is our provider not our business. Our business is just a stream that God can use on the earth to bring wealth through it. But he is our provider. And even when we make really bad mistakes God still has it covered. He’s still got you.

Founder Sarah-Jane Meeson was given a word to inspire women. Since then, Sarah-Jane dreamed about how she could inspire women and unite them together. She knew it was going to be for God and she knew she had a passion for business and just to see people thrive and be all that they can be: no matter what past they’ve had, no matter how much money or where they come from. It’s about them being the best person they can be for God and to help share their story of how God has worked through their life and business.
After chatting with a girlfriend and sitting on the idea for a while, God kept prompting her heart to bring this movement of women together. After some time, Sarah-Jane knew what she needed to do; she bit the bullet and now here it is. Christian Women in Business – a movement of Christian women pushing forward for God in their businesses … and it’s great!
