255 Understanding God’s authority & business

Hey there and welcome to the Christian Women in Business podcast where you’re joining us for part three of our series all about integrating faith and business together. I’m so excited that you’re here today. Today’s topic is all about understanding God’s authority and business. Now this is of a deep subject to cover in um, in a podcast and in just one episode itself.

There’s so much to topic I, I’m not going to be able to cover it all today, but I do think That it’s really important that we do touch on it and that we are aware of it because you might be thinking that there’s all these weird things happening right now in your business or in your personal life and you’re just not sure where it’s coming from or how to deal with it.

And so we have covered so far in this series all about our core beliefs and values and how God needs to be in every area of our business and how. Once we change those core beliefs and values, we can step more into what God’s got us and the business and how we can keep expanding his kingdom on this earth.

We’ve also covered what’s your vision, mission and values and what’s your personal mission while you’re on this earth and going forward with that. And now in today’s topic we’re talking about understanding God’s authority and your business and this can be applied in your life as well. It’s not just business related, everything we kind of share in faith and business, it’s about kind of applicable to all areas, but this is to make you aware.

Um, So as you might be moving through these different episodes, and it might be hopefully helping kind of upshift your mindset, get realigned with God. You opportunities start opening up for you or that, you know, you start making more sales or you just moving up a in everything, which I really do hope is the case.

As we do that different things can happen. I just want to give an ex a recent example of um, something in Christian women in We took a break from doing the podcast for a while, as you know, um, and then the day that we relaunched the podcast, our website went down. I’ve been so used to just not pushing forward for the kingdom for a while, that when something happened, like, I forgot that there’s a repercussion.

And repercussions happen. Now, you might say I’m a woo and all that. I’m not. This is not coming from a place of woo. woo. This is coming from a place of When you push out for the kingdom, you’re going to get a push back. Um, And for us, it was the website going down. Now I’m still fixing a few aspects of the website, which is being resolved, which is great, but it surprised me and I was shocked and then I’m like, why am I surprised and shocked about this?

It’s like in all different things that we’ve done in the past, launching conference, lead up to conference, whatever event we’ve put on and the lead up, there’s always been things happen. And that’s because of principalities, which is what we’re going to go into today. So as we push forwards, doing all these different things and stepping out to the kingdom, you’ve got to understand that we have influence being.

Children of God and having Christ live in us and claiming the authority on earth. We have influence. And basically, there are principalities on this earth that don’t like that influence from being had. we’ll get that pushback. So it might be that you’re launching a new product. It might be that you’re running an event yourself.

Um, And all these weird things that are happening are the principalities pushing back. And it’s, it’s going to happen. So I’m going to touch on Ephesians 6, 12. For we wrestle not against flesh, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Now there’s different levels, of Principalities and Rules of the Darkness um, which I’m not going to go into today. Today’s podcast is making you aware that they’re there. Okay, they’re there and they’re going to try and hit us from different directions as we’re pushing forward, especially as we’re becoming into alignment with God and we’re pushing forwards with that.

So what do we need to do and what do we need to remember as Making headway and we’re pushing forward for God and these principalities are coming back at us. We need to remember that we have authority over them. Jesus living inside you is your authority over them. God’s power has authority over them.

So no matter what they try and do or how they try and go about it, God’s power and Jesus living in you. is your authority to fight against that. Now that doesn’t necessarily mean that you’re going to get out your sword and start slashing it around physically, it means understanding what to do in the spirit and in that kind of area and realm of the Simply saying, by the authority of God and the authority of Jesus Christ, Bugger off, whatever it is that’s coming against me right now and go to where Jesus wants you to go by the power of God, I pray, Amen. That is you acting in your authority and then allowing God to take over from As we see examples from Paul and from Jesus, sometimes direct authority, might not be the way to go about it, it might be that you need to step into the praise zone.

So the praise zone is where we see Paul go into so many times, so so many times the easiest one that comes to mind is when he’s in jail, they all start praising you know, it just busts open and they all go out and the guard’s about to commit suicide because, He thinks that he’s going to be killed for letting them all go through and kind of says come on, dude.

It’s okay It’s let’s go and So that’s stepping into the praise. That’s a different element. So You might try going with the authority and speaking that over the situation and what’s happening and then praying for Jesus’s blood to cover it to cover you for God’s protection as well And that commanding it never to come back.

It also might be that you go into the prayer, And Praise Zone, which is literally just praising God for all things good, praising God for who He is, praising Him that He never changes. And not even tackling it right on, but just focusing your eyes on Jesus. So there’s two different examples of how you can deal.

with principalities. Now I’m not telling you to go out into your neighborhood inexperienced and just start shooting this bad boy in every direction and having yourself come up against some things that you’re really not prepared for. And I do believe that we are given different levels of attacks depending what it is we can handle the devil’s going to throw us different things.

And so keeping ourselves aware of that, am I getting into the word enough? Am I chewing on the meat of God and the world and the word to be able to handle the, these different realms and different principalities that are going to come against me and reading the word out

kind of the next level as well. So there’s the prayer and taking authority, there’s the praise, actually just praising God and the situation, then there’s actually speaking out the word, speaking out the word of your business verbally with your tongue, saying scripture. Like the, those three things are like super powered tools of atomic.

proportion of how you can handle these different situations. So no matter what it is that comes up, that happens, I want you to take these three tools that I’ve given you all that God’s given us, not me. I’m just sharing them with you for you to be able to take authority back over the situation and claim what’s rightfully yours claim.

space that’s yours that you’re entering into and pray for the protection as well as you’re going out into new levels as you might introduce a different product or service or business location, whatever Get in there, pray over before you do it, pray in the middle of it and pray after it and then keep in mind these three different things you can do when you are coming with a backlash.

It could be through illness, it could be through like us, website just going down for no apparent reason. Yeah, making sure that we’re praying protection and that, that. that. When these things do happen, no matter what it is, that we’re getting right in there with the tools that God’s given us. So I encourage you today to step into that authority.

If you feel nervous, and you’ve got someone that you trust, go and ask them to stand with you in prayer. And, And claim that authority back and claim what’s rightfully yours and what’s rightfully yours from heaven as well and command whatever it to to leave. It’s okay for you to do that and God’s given you the authority in yourself to do that as well.

So don’t let them put you off. I always think if something’s going wrong, we’re doing something right. So if you are getting repercussions back or things are happening, you’re probably heading in the right direction, don’t give up, keep going, and yeah. Becoming in alignment in itself can be a threat because, you know, you’re on the right track, you’re on the right road, and principalities don’t like that.

So don’t let it put you off, take the authority, have courage to do that. If that feels scary, just start reading the word out loud, over yourself and over your business. Whatever different verses it is that you want to pick to read out. And know that God’s authority takes over. It’s not through our power, it’s through his power.

We’ve just got to know how to utilize that on earth so that God’s power can come out.
